Tomorrow There Was a War
The novell was written by living soviet writer Boris Vasiliev and based on real events having taken place directly in the pre-war years in the Soviet Union. Music and costumes match that period of time. The play was filmed and a copy was sent to author. This was the first time when the troupe has received personal thanks from the author of the work. Boris Vasilev sent Artistic Director and actors a letter of thanks, which was then printed in the newspapers a few months after the premiere.
Duration:
2 hour 30 minutes
Plot:
A dramatic story of the young generation on the cusp of adulthood. The action takes place on the eve of World War Two in a provincial town. The young heroes are open to friendship and love, have run into political fanaticism, treachery and lies of the Stalinism period. They face the terrible loss but they are able to maintain the spiritual purity and idealism. That was like they who were defending their homeland during World War Two.
